First Look: Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7

Panasonic announced the Lumix DMC-SZ7 at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas last January. SZ stands for Slim Zoom.

Specs of LUMIX DMC-SZ7:

  • 10x optical zoom with a 25mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, in a slim and compact body,
  • 14.1 megapixels
  • Shoots full-High Definition, 1920 x 1080 60i videos and with Light Speed AF, it has a super-fast focus response time of approximately 0.1 second – making it easy to capture spontaneous must-have photos,
  • iA (Intelligent Auto) mode which automatically chooses the best camera settings for natural, beautiful images,
  • two new shooting modes – Miniature Effect and Panorama Shot,
  • Creative Retouch which includes six filters -Toy Effect, Soft Focus Dynamic Monochrome, Expressive, High Key and Retro.

First look: Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 [VIDEO]

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 camera holds two lens that can record 3D and 2D still images as well as 1080i HD video. The camera includes dual 12MP ‘High Sensitivity MOS’ sensors which allows users to capture both 2D stills and HD video simultaneously.

Here’s a quote from Panasonic’s press release:

The two sets of 25mm ultra wide angle 4x optical zoom lens takes advantage of their capability to record high resolution 3D photo and 1920 x 1080 high quality 3D HD video of side-by-side method. Panasonic’s MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) helps shooting clear 3D images with minimal blurring. Not only rich, expressive 3D contents, but also 12-megapixel 2D photos and 1920 x 1080 full HD videos can be recorded.
