Who needs a kitchen when you can get a do-it-all fridge for a whopping $41,500? The Italian designers, Meneghini, created a fridge that does everything a kitchen can do, except for washing dishes. What? No dishwasher? Then that’s no deal for me.
I love reading about over-the-top appliances. The Meneghini La Cambusa includes a standard fridge and freezer, plus a coffee maker, fitted pantry, double pantry, ice-maker, microwave, steam oven, and multi-function oven. Not to mention a flat-screen TV, so you can watch Nigella Lawson while cooking, right? She’s said to be a fan of this fridge.
The starting price for this fridge is $26,000, that’s before you pick a color out of the 500 options the company offers. Once you begin adding more features like brass handles, then the price quickly goes up. The fridge has three-doors and is 8.2 feet wide. It weighs around 1,000 pounds and has 26.6 cubic feet of storage.
I still think it’s worthwhile to invest on refrigerator with all the bells and whistles and a touch of Energy Star power. Let’s face it, a kitchen fridge is more than a place you store food. It acts as a centerpiece of your kitchen. Then again, a fully loaded refrigerator would cost a sliver compared to the all-in-one Meneghini.
