YYoga opened its new location in Kitsilano. I use to be a YYoga member for about two and half years (just recently took a hiatus) and the main locations I visited were Flow, NorthShore Elements, and Granville. However, I’m in love with the new Kits location that I might have to rejoin and make it a routine to do the following: a hour Flow yoga class + infrared red sauna + lounge on the new patio + drink herbal tea + devour the “OMG” coconut cream pie from Organic Lives. Then, top that off with a visit to Kits Beach for the rest of my Vitamin D intake. Not too shabby, eh? It might not happen all the time, but once in awhile would be blissfully zen. To the #GoodLife!
The design team at YYoga turned this location to include additional amenities to comfort its growing yoga community. For example, there’s a cafe-like area called the ‘nourish lounge’ for one to enjoy some nice healthy meals and desserts. A spacious lounge area for one to sit and relax (or chit chat with new friends). Not to forget that they have a kick-ass patio (perfect for the summer, if the sun decides to come out and play). I’m impressed with the interiors of this location and the use of soundproof glass doors outside the yoga rooms. It’s needed! Since this location has more room for a cafe and lounging that it’s totally natural to get a little bit noisy as people connect with their fellow YYoga posse. With the soundproof doors, the people in a yoga session won’t be distracted by the outside noise when they are finishing up their practice in Shavasana (aka Corpse Pose).
In addition, YYoga and Telus made an annoucement. No, they aren’t coming out with a Yoga phone. Nor is it a YYoga bundle plan. But that they are opening up an even bigger YYoga location in the new Telus Garden. Details: a 20,000 square foot space complete with yoga studios, including hot yoga rooms, a fitness centre, a 20-metre outdoor pool and hot tub, and an outdoor terrace. It’s zen music to my ears. Well, if only I heard about the Telus Garden presale earlier, I’d be happier. Units sold so darn quickly.
